oh man.
it's back to mugging and rushing and lack of sleep the next few months all the way to promos.
the sheer thought of it just makes me want to run away from it all.

went to the national library for the first time today.
well, i did go there before but not to look at books.
it's a great place to do research. seriously. vast amount of resources!
but i was extremely sleepy when doing hist va with elaine.
sorry! wasn't really in focus.
but we did manage to complete three paragraphs of the wiki article.
three more to go!!

then i got lost at orchard, for the don't know how many times already!
but called my brother and elaine to ask for directions.
and managed to arrive at cineleisure safely to watch GET SMART!!!!
oh man, it's a super funny movie!!!
i suspected that the supposedly good guy was working with the bad guys and i was right!!!
haha, my instincts rock!!
in conclusion, GO WATCH THE MOVIE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
though there are some parts that will make you go "uuggghhh and ewww"

yesterday's pelita session was pretty tiring but i hope it was fruitful.
was trying frantically and thinking of different methods there are in the universe to teach the primary four students how to change an improper fraction into a mixed number and vice versa.
but they were very cooperative so made my job a whole lot easier(:
and yes, i managed to solve the pri 6 problem sum correctly!!!
haha, the whole thing was just so funny la.
couldn't really stop laughing.

and yes, there's school tmr.
and loads of stuff awaiting me.

yesterday was fun, laughter, fun, laughter, more fun and more laughter.
well one, it was the day of my last paper, history.
two, outing with geraldine chai and elaine lim.
i can probably safely say that i was the only sane one there.
but it was super crappy and funny!
talking about our ambitions and how we could use singapore's shortage of labour to our advantage (okay, these are serious topics but how we discussed them was really funny!)
like elaine was asking how we can make jobs more interesting so that singaporeans are attracted to join the workforce.
and geraldine went to say that maybe lawyers can use the badminton courts instead of the normal court. and the net can be the bib. like super errr....
haha!
it's the let-out-all-the-stress syndrome i guess.

and three, preparing for cousin's wedding!
catching up with everyone again.
and teasing about who was going to be the next bride.
haha, kak zahiah kelakar la!
her dreams about my elder brother and all..
laughed and laughed while talking to the other ladies.
i was the youngest there but oh wells, everyone was in high spirits i think!

after studying history, i realised that a lot of things are related to this one important word.

well, that's one of the reasons why the western powers colonized most of SEA.
and why the bolsheviks staged the revolution.

and why USA's forces went beyond the 38th parallel during the Korean War.

and of course there are many other reasons which involves politics etc.

and because of this greed, here i am racking my brains to remember all the facts and events that took place.
(but of course, historians will say that if so and so did not happen, we would not be having so and so)
and since i chose to study this subject, i should not complain.

three hours of doing maths is really mentally draining..
it's the first time i ever felt so tired.
which leads me to having a THREE AND A HALF HOURS afternoon nap just now.

haha, when zul asked whether i was calm, i thought i was.
but then, as soon as the debate started, even though i was watching them, i felt extremely nervous man!
and sorry rasyiqah, i was laughing, kdg-kdg kau cakap kelakar ah! haha
i'm proud of my team though!
i don't know if we'll make it through but at least we didn't make the opponent look as tough as we thought they were.
and yup, terima kasih bnyk bnyk faris and wani!! for taking time off your busy schedule to help us and all.

phew!! yesterday's activity with the pelita kids went fine(:

learning points when organising games for lower primary students:
- DON'T include balloons (some have really serious phobia of them bursting. and once a balloon bursts in front of them, oh man, that's it. games over!they'll just run away)
- DON'T play captain's ball (some of them get REALLY demoralised if they don't get to catch the ball a few times. though they just stand there and expect the ball to reach to them.oh wells.)
- simple games can cheer them up easily. like pass the parcel, where they don't get too tired and you get everyone involved.
- prepare sweets. YUP, THEY LOVEEEE SWEETS!!

so in the end, the students went home pretty happy and i was glad everything turned out fine. it was pretty nerve-wrecking when some of the kids refused to play the games we organised from them. but hey, they were cute la so pretty much enjoyed myself!! :D

but today's debate meeting was wahhhh, tiring.
cracked our brains until we were mentally drained!!
luckily we managed to wrap up and head for home.
and tmr will be another loong day i think!

hmm, where do i start?
well, this week was mainly spent for my attachment with a law firm.
monday to friday.
and with zhixin!

8.45 to 6 everyday.
kinda slack cause i did work only when i had to or when people asked me to.
and it's basic work such as photocopying, filing, updating documents, binding, etc.
i do have a computer and table all to myself which is super cool!!
so i can bring work from home and complete it here.
i bet me and zhixin managed to do a lot of revision as well. haha!
we were pretty early the first day and had to wait outside before they opened the office.

attached to asset and wealth management department.
had a talk with the head of the department.
was pretty nervous throughout the whole thing cause i'm not really used to formal talks la.
and he told me everything i wanted to know about a law career.
both the litigation side and the non-litigation side.
it was a pretty long talk-around one hour.
and my back was aching!
haha but it was a certainly great eye-opener so i shouldn't complain.

lunch times would be very packed!!
ahhh, pretty frustrating! very hard to get seats ):
and if we didn't manage to get a seat at the countless eating places we went, just da pao and back to the pantry we went.
haha.
well, other than that, the people at the office are really nice.
though i still get pretty intimidated by them.
i felt so out of place in this building. i mean in the entire raffles place.
i mean everywhere you go, you see people in their office clothes.
and they look so confident.
don't know la but it sometimes make me feel kinda small and lost.
but luckily zhixin was there!!

ohh, and i realise some lawyers can be super funny!! it's good la.
but then, i still don't know what i would like to do in the future.
i don't know if i'll consider law but i don't think it would be my first option.
doesn't seem to be my type.
but come to think if it, nothing seems to appeal to me.
guess i'll just have to be realistic and find an ambition soon.
or i'll probably end up nowhere.

okay i'm just ranting on and on because i have no work to do currently.
well, busy week ahead!!
i'll only have next friday, sat and sun for revision.

thursday - lot 1 shopping mall to discuss mldds gathering with dhiya, safa, rasyi and dinah.
walked ard a bit. and most of us probably got excited over all the cheap stuff being sold for GREAT SINGAPORE SALE!! haha

saturday - angklung prac, learnt how to play voices from the heart with changes. pretty fun!

sunday, today - meeting with hazimah to discuss pelita's games day. again, sat at macs throughout(: then cleared wardrobe with younger sister at home after that.
cause my dad was like declaring that since we bought new clothes, must throw all the old clothes or those that we don't want anymore.
and me being me, didn't really want to throw any away, but had to la. luckily my younger sister was there to like persuade me to give up some clothes.

okay today have been a pretty good day i must say.
though i'm seriously lacking behind in revisions!!!
i'm getting bored of studying alr. and i'm not even halfway through!
ahhh.

and i've been feeling sleepy a lot lately.
since i came back from the debate camp.
normally i sleep for 6 hrs. now i'm sleeping like for 9 hrs?? oh my!

angklung at 3.30 just now.
have been able to memorise how to play my parts alr. yay!
well, there's only two songs we have to play so yup, much easier.
but i think there's still a lot of things i have to improve on (:

dinner at bilal restaurant just now. with family!!!
yai belanja!! (grandfather treat us) since it was his birthday ytd.
HAPPY 87TH BIRTHDAY.

i think it was total fun.
eating till my stomach wanted to bloat.
quarrelling with my younger sister over fish.

i lost but oh wells, my stomach just couldn't take it anymore.
luckily my bro helped me finish it!
everyone was in a good mood i guess.

oh my, the previous week has just been a rollercoaster ride!
chinese heritage centre on friday.
which was, to me, interesting, the way they put up the exhibition and all.
and thanks to the guide who did try to make jokes and was overall funny la.
then yup, went to nus with rasyiqah and faris, thinking that i would be able to attend a bit of the bengkel for bahas with them.
but we got lost, so just went straight for aristal.

aristal was WHOA!!!!
the mixture of colours, music and dances.
i thought it was great and can see that there was a lot of effort put in.
all the groups were fabulous and i enjoyed myself looking at all the performances!
though it was a bit awkward gg there in sch uniform.

at night, i was an emotional wreck that day.
found out that mldds debate team was competing the next day and that we have less than 4 hours to prepare our argument against tjc.
slept for like only 3 hours?? which i have never done before!!!
the next day, saturday, rushed down to nus pgp to meet other members - faris, rasyiqah and hazi.

we seriously rushed like mad.
didn't play the games planned for us, so we did our work in the CARPARK so that they wouldn't find us.
but it became our spot and we sat there even for lunch to prepare everything.
i thought i was prepared by the time our competition started.
but when it was my turn to speak, i just became nervous again and didn't even know what i was saying.
my mind was slow and couldn't really think of any rebuttals.

in the end, we lost to tjc but managed to get through to the quarter finals(:
but then again, our potentials competitors are really really good!!!

and i thought the debate camp was pretty enjoyable, well, after our competition when all the burden was lift off us.
though i didn't really socialise that much, the games were fun.
and the coolest part was lodging!!!
everyone had a room of their own at the nus hostel. (pics later probably)
i mean it's kind of the first time i slept in a room all by myself!!!
the other time i slept alone was in a jungle so it wasn't considered a room.
and the next day my friend found out that i didn't even lock the room throughout the night.
gosh, but haha, first time la.

so now, just came back from aunt's chalet this morning,
it's nice to meet cousins again!!!
and playing cybermind is fun!
haha

and have to rush for pw meeting now.
