two miracles happened yesterday.

1) mr sham, our pe teacher, let us PLAY GAMES for pe yesterday. in the history of pe lessons this year, all we had ever done was run and practice for our NAPFA test. wahh, should have seen the reaction of the class. we were all, "REALLY AH?!". haha! but yay, it was fun, played my most retarded game of tennis la! 6 of us namely, roger chai, rachel sampras, elaine agassi, marat ithnin, karen sharapova and ersalina williams.

2) 2MA2Y, my maths class, obtained a 100% pass and 76.9% As and Bs for our most recent lecture test! so for the first time, we did not have any maths lesson, and the teacher treated us to drinks in the canteen! we were all like, let's buy the most expensive drink. concoction of nata de coco, pearl and jelly all in one. hahaha, but no one actually ordered that la. :)

road run today was pretty much stony. but pretty surprising that aerius won 1ST! hahaha, good job guys! ml lunch was pretty fun, getting to know the juniors. i think they're a very nice batch, after all my convos with them. hopefully, we'll be more bonded throughout the course of this year :)

my mum and elder brother just did a horrible rendition of anuar zain's 'bila resah' :O

HAHAHA, anw, i watched the devil wears prada today. yeah, too much time in my hands, like for once! i didn't like the movie but i have to applaud it for being able to provoke such anger and annoyance in me. partly because it depicted people being unhappy as a result of not realising how fortunate they actually are. and all the materialistic nature of people. but okayla, i admit that i sometimes fall into that category too so it was kind of an eye-opener.

today was performance day! NJC angklung got invited to perform for Mrs Ho Ping's (Mrs Ho Ching's sister) farewell cum promotion party. apparently, she is going to be the next director-general of the education system in singapore. i heard that's the top position one can achieve in our education system. okay, so story cut short, it was an honour to perform for her! and what's more, we got to eat GOOOOOD FOOOOOD OKAY! okay like duhh right, since it's a party for such a high-ranking official. i ate like 4 different types of cakes, two prawn fritters, some vegetarian thing, chicken seaweed, hotdog bun etc etc.. haha. and even better, there were A LOT of leftovers so everyone DA-PAOED (is that the way it's spelt?) the food home. hahaha.

as y'all can see, we totally spam the food table, carrying auntie plastic bags to bring home food. like never eat for months sey! haha. but yeah, everyone agreed that this was certainly why we'll never regret joining angklung! :P

but then ah, one of the wheels for my kulintang came off today!! wahhh, HEART PAIN sey. my joy was short lived cause today had to carry the kulintang even when want to move it like just a little bit. but luckily got the guys to help out la. thank you! as mr tan said, "at least you were once happy". hahaha

oh oh, the other day, we celebrated mr dzul's birthday (our conductor). was pretty funny la! we even came up with a score for the birthday song which we played in surprise for him. he's like the best conductor la (really talented), and the crappiest one ever too. hehe!

&& i found this picture somewhere in my thumbdrive. and my goodness, i realised that last time when i was teaching my primary four students maths, i drew THAT on the whiteboard to show them how to solve a problem sum which included mangoes and oranges. such horrible drawing sey! can't believe it man but luckily they understood. lesson learnt: NEVER try to draw on the whiteboard if i were to become a teacher in the future. HAHA!

and last friday, i went to watch slumdog millionaire with my eldest brother. he's so nice la, cause he watched the show alr but still went to accompany me. he paid for the movie tickets, popcorn and drink some more! the show isn't in my favourite movies list but i still think it's pretty touching and sweet :D

and a quote from nazira's mum enlightened me today. "when something bad happens, don't be sad because something greater and better will come from it."

:)

it's always nice to do things which you used to do when you were a kid.
and that's basically what me and safa did yesterday :)
blowing bubbles! seriously very relaxing and fun. we just sat down on one side of the track while there was a soccer match going on behind us between nj and rj. whee~

and then after that we went to play basketball. till i was late for angklung practice :P
gonna have a performance next wednesday. which we were given super short notice la. disrupted a lot of my plans! but then again, it was fun practicing in the amphi - gettting into the formation and all :D

it's bad being down with a flu on a weekend :(
oh wells, on the plus side, i did get loads of sleep!

i think-
1. the turnout for ML drama auditions was more than expected. heartening sey :D
2. i have a nice maths teacher cause she didn't scold me when i told her i wasn't aware of the homework i was supposed to do.
3. i have a nice civics tutor because she stood by me when i got scolded for my school uniform.
4. the syf pieces that mr dzul and friends composed motivates me to play my instrument well because they are super melodious! and dramatic in a way :D
5. there's a lot of food in my house. too much food actually.
6. i'm unprepared for all the upcoming chem tests.
7. vectors is so disgusting! like really.

two historical events happened today! -clapsclaps-

like today, i just found out that my phone has this super cool function where it can take four different shots in one frame! like cool right?! although i was a bit appalled la cause my super retarded friends (nazira and hwei yee) replaced my beloved wallpaper with their picture. or picturesss.

&& my kulintang finally has WHEELS!!! gone are the days where i have to carry my super heavy instrument around everytime there's performance, practices or simply to turn it 180 degrees so that i can face the instructor. yipperdeedoo! (i was so excited that i took a picture of all four wheels with the new super COOL function!) haha.

and oh, there's this junior who refused to believe that i'm a j2 and not a j1. -_- but thanks la. cause means i look young. so anyone who want tips on how to look fair and young, can consult me. HAHAHAHAHAHA. i know, perasan kan. :P

OKAY, old pics! ML ORIENTATION :D

me and my cousin, haslinDa! like literally man. haha!

syaz and filzah - at alfalah after the gaza donation drive thing.

thanks elaine, karen and shamini for cheering me up today.
yes, i was feeling bitter but thinking over my dad's words has made me realise that i shouldn't be sad over such a small stupid thing.
shame on myself because apparently, reading books on all the sufferings in the world hasn't made me a lil tat grateful for what i have.

oh and i saw this on my younger sister's blog:
OH YES, WE HAVE SEX TALK NOWADAYS.
COOL EH, THERE'S MASTURBATION(:
hahahahah.

i wonder if she's talking about the sex education she's having now but freaky sey! my goodness. i should show her more attention from now onwards.

thanks everyone for the vday presents! <3

my new eyecandy in school: gc aka GERALDINE CHAI!

omg, she was super cool la at pe today! the whole class had to jog to and fro the gym floor. everytime we ran a lap, the teacher will blow the whistle and we'll have to run another lap back. so after 2 mins or less, he will increase our speed by blowing the whistle at shorter intervals. after a few rounds, he tested our mental strength. the last man standing would be the one who can last the longest amount of minutes. and this gc ah, wah, really cili padi. she and two other guys were battling it out man. and some more the guys were tall with much longer legs than her. so can obviously sprint faster to and fro. but nvm, she still own man! stamina tip top eh. haha.

presenting to you.........................................GERALDINE CHAI!:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

okay, she's gonna kill me for this. or maybe not. :)

i nearly dozed off in all my lessons today! goodness me. even the GP teacher called my name out and told me to wash my face in the middle of the lesson. oh man, reputation gone alr. haha, but maybe it's cause i haven't rested enough from the Gaza Donation Drive i went on Sunday.

interesting experience, i must say. many people touched my heart by donating generously, esp this young boy who asked his mum whether he could put in the two dollars that he had in his hands. and of course, there were people whom i thought wouldn't donate but did so. (stereotype on my part la eh) heh. although my arms still aches today, i feel good for being able to contribute to my brothers and sisters miles away :)

and just as i was feeling rather sucky for such a bad day, things turned for the better. ML orientation was fun! even though it was very simple with pretty few people. but us girls=self-entertaining la so yup. and we got to know the juniors as well. may y'all stay happy in nj ah! :D

pictures gonna be posted another time since i haven't received them :P

i've been spammed with homework over the weekend. but i shan't complain much since i'm not making the effort to try and complete it soon. tsk tsk

but then again, it's been a really nice week.
thank you,
safa for the swimming date! may you master the art of frog style soon :)
jocelyn, kristine and xinru for the wonderful chem lecture. ahah!
ersalina and elaine for the brief lunch but super humorous one today.
huda, for the time spent with me! i'm proud of our friendship that lasted 10++ years. and really, you're the most randomest-can-talk-about-anything-under-the-sun friend!

there's angklung practice tmr. i don't know why but i haven't been able to focus fully when playing my instrument. i'm not sure if i haven't regained my momentum or what but i feel very robotic playing it now. it's hard and discouraging but hopefully i'll do better for future practices.

:D

i've been keeping myself busy.

oh i found a joke on a website!

What is your name?

Walking through Chinatown, a tourist is fascinated with all the Chinese restaurants, shops, signs and banners. He turns a corner and sees a building with the sign, "Hans Olaffsen's Laundry."

"Hans Olaffsen?", he muses. "How in hell does that fit in here?" So he walks into the shop and sees an old Chinese gentleman behind the counter.

The tourist asks, "How did this place get a name like 'Hans Olaffsen's Laundry?'" The old man answers, "Is name of owner."

The tourist asks, "Well, who and where is the owner?" "Me...is right here," replies the old man.

"You? How did you ever get a name like Hans Olaffsen?"

"Is simple," says the old man. "Many, many year ago when come to this country, was stand in line at Documentation Center. Man in front was big blonde Swede. Lady look at him and go, 'What your name?' He say,'Hans Olaffsen.' Then she look at me and go, 'What your name?'"

"I say Sem Ting."

HAHAHAHA
i really do need a good laugh once in a while :)

The tennis match between nadal and federer was just AWESOME. I saw shots i've never seen before. truly, a match like no other! but then again, my sisters are all having emotional breakdowns having to see their much supported federer give up the championship. WAH, you should have seen the drama they created even before the match ended. HAHAHAHA.

and today dad was saying that he would buy a 5-seater car instead when the 10 year lease on our current car ends unless everyone promises that they wouldn't get married in the next ten years. -.- my mum objected and began talking about marriage and how she got married at the age of 25. me and elder sis was like "tahu la mak, abang-abang kita ni memang susah sikit nak cari jodoh. lagi-lagi yang dah lebih 25 tahun tu (referring to my eldest bro)".

elder sis: ma, you nak timang cucu kan?
father: timang cucu macam tak boleh, timang anak nak?
mum: HAH?! sorry eh, economic recession, factory semua dah tutup.

HAHA, oh man, can you imagine your parents talking about having kids when they are half a century old? simply amusing.

i love macdonalds hotcakes!
