after like 2 months i think, i finally listened to my mp3 again after getting a new battery from dad. and of course, i listened to anuar zain first and his voice still rocks, as always! heh :P

oh, it's kinda awkward going home early from school. when there was syf practices, i reached home at 9++. and now i reach home at 3++. like 6 hours what to do sey?! haha, been watching the chinese drama at 5.30 pm everyday. thomas ong and jacelyn tay is such a sweet couple. haha, old story ah. i used to think that i had little time. and now that i had it, it seems too much. :(

NEED TO BUCK UP.

to my friends who told us to blow the judges away, apparently, we didn't. but thanks you guys for all the encouragement/well-wishes :)

NJC Angklung 2009 ~ Bronze.
it's pretty saddening in the beginning. i must admit, the shock i had when they announced the results made my tears flow. i mean, all the effort we placed into perfecting our 10 min piece, our hopes, our expectations. and what's worse is that it ain't because of the quality of our music, we simply weren't traditional enough to the judges.

then again, i don't feel as sad now after calming down. we all did our best, no regrets! mr dzul said it was our best performance so far. && some of my friends said our songs were nice :)

but most importantly, the bonds forged and memories created during all the late-night practice sessions. truly, i wouldn't want to go through SYF with any other batch other than you guys. i had fun and hopefully, you guys did too :D

k, reality check: time for me to do my electrochem tutorial!

as dad said, only God knows best.

totally enjoyed their company last friday :D
oh, and ain't no more cold war with me and my dad anymore, phew!
yesterday's angklung practice was really tiring.
but syf's this wednesday, oh man.
homework seems endless now. yeah, press on!

mum's reflexology on elder sis was hilarious. followed by this morning's entertainment by the cannot-make-it sisters who always tries very hard to impress me and my elder brother with their acting/dancing skills. haha

the angklung session at broadrick sec sch on wednesday was really nice.
it was good to hear the songs from other schools, y'know like just sit back and enjoy the music :)

bedok view's kulintang players were awesome! i was like practically shocked when they played the fast part. super fast la! && this guy from broadrick sec who kept flinging his mallet while playing his kulintang, really cool sey! then the person who played the shaker also, liked the way he grooved to the music. :D

oh oh, me and jocelyn agreed that there was this very cute boy from loyang sec! i think he should be in sec 1. super cute sey, like the way he looked intently at the conductor while playing. haha. but of course, the music pieces was the best of all. wish i could have downloaded the songs they were playing onto my mp3. good luck for syf next week guys! awesome job.

next time i feel like complaining about my school...

i'll think about these pictures and be thankful :)

my moodswings have been quite terrible these days.
it gets pretty frustrating at times but i guess it's due to lethargy and pressure.
i'm thankful though that i'm able to keep myself sane by simply absorbing as much information as i can so that i forget the things on my mind. and also talking to family members and friends to keep myself cheerful.

everything's gonna turn out fine, it always does.
insya allah :)

on sat's angklung practice, we did twinkles to warm up our arm muscles i think.
haha, totally reminded me of armpower training we did in sec sch.
which then made me miss aries and all my other sec sch friends, like a lot.
so sad i couldn't be there for aries gathering today, but thanks syikin for the comforting words :)

you guys, irreplaceable :)

my body's officially overworked.
i feel sick from my head to my toe. sorethroat and flu. and just now, when i stepped into serangoon mrt station, i felt weird. okay, maybe cause i haven't been going out in a super long time.

this morning, my body felt weak to do any homework. playing the piano actually work wonders cause after that i felt refreshed and was able to finish some work.

thanks safa for today :D

listening to elaine and gc talk to mr sham and mr menon was really funny.
Southeast Asia History lesson was hilarious.
angklung practice session made me laugh till i cried sey.

it's good to laugh amidst all the stress :D
and i think house session was also pretty fun, taking cool pictures at diff venues in the school. friday is a really much needed holiday for me, can't wait!

sometimes, it's better for me to just keep quiet.

i watched Inconvenient Truth today! gave me a deep insight as to the alarming state of our environment and how it will be in the near future. but even as i got worried by the end of the movie, there was room for optimism with many initiatives being undertaken to help save Mother Earth :)

recently, i started to realise one of my many weaknesses. that is, i tend to blame other people when things go wrong. sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously. well, it's bad but having known it has made me work towards thinking about how i can manage problems that arise rather than point fingers at others blindly.

&& i think i've found where my interest lies. this is a huge realisation for me as i've never really thought of it the past seventeen years of my life! these past few years, i became inclined into learning about people. in terms of their history and culture. there was always this excitement when i visited museums and saw how people lived in the past. also, i really really hope i can travel in the future so that i can see for myself the culture that people have in different parts of the world. so, while i'm working hard in trying to make the grade for chemistry, it doesn't really generate any interest from me, sadly. haha

angklung practices gonna be till 9 pm from next week onwards. i hope i can still manage my studies with teachers giving us much pressure :(

i love learning about new things. because i believe that the world is a wonderful place with full of surprises to offer each of its inhabitants. and everytime i learn something new, it gives me a sense of satisfaction that i am becoming a teeny weeny bit wiser.

BUT,

i truly suck at applying these knowledge to my dear examinations. which is sad :(
oh wells, i shall work harder!

yes, optimism is key.

i may be the toothbrush, but at least, i'm not the toilet roll.
