today's straits times: When children hit their parents
"ANNOYED that his mother was nagging at his young niece for refusing a bowl of hot porridge, Hong Kia Cheng, 47, threw a wooden dining chair at the 67-year-old woman.
Another man, Koh Kim Swee, 22, was so frustrated by his mother's nagging that he whacked her on the head with a hammer in their Jurong East flat.
Then there was Tan Su Ann, 39, who also took a hammer to her 79-year-old father after he tried to stop her from shouting at their maid.
........."
JUST WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?! THEY WOULDN’T EVEN BE HERE WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS!it's scary cause my brother told me that this is one of the signs of Hari Kiamat-when mothers bore their masters.
gp and maths over.

Happy birthday kak sulaiha(my elder sis)!
okay so she's 19, one more year and she's off the teenager bandwagon! making me the oldest teenager in the house. haha, that's of no significance actually.
i love you sis, even though you annoy me like infinity times!
today at the bus stop, i realised i forgot to bring umbrella and hai, had to go back up to take it. went back down again with my younger sister and when we reached the void deck, she claimed that she forgot her handphone! haha, that's why we're sisters man! so forgetful.
watching transformers tmr with eldest bro cause he said he'll be heartbroken if i don't go. awww. anw, i heard it's a nice show so kinda looking forward to it :)
to all my friends preparing for exams, all the way!

pageone. many other countless shops at vivocity. tiong bahru plaza. coffee bean.
i had studied extra yesterday and the day before just so i could enjoy a full day off today with 2nd elder bro. and it was awesome!
my bro tried on jackets at topman and looked way cool sey but they were all like above 200 bucks so definitely a no-no! haha. i told him he would look a lot nicer if he dressed up but he said he had to maintain his low-profile-ness in uni. what the! anw, vivo all the stuff expensive ah so it was a lot of seeing around but not buying. we budget people y'know. hehe
and i bought another book today! goodness, i have like more than 10 books at home waiting to be read but i don't think i can finish all even after a's :(
the creme brulee with cheese tart from coffee bean was delicious. but the coffee double chocolate ice blended wasn't that nice.

it was fun talking to my bro about like all sorts of stuff. and going out with him was certainly a different experience from going out with my sisters or friends :)
oh and i watched two great movies! Ip man and 10000 BC.
both basically revolves around one courageous man and how they fought for their people. and both were set in the past so it has the historical feel. Ip man-sino japanese war. and 10000 BC was well, ages ago la.

alhamdulillah :D

donation drive for mercy relief today with my cousin, faezah :)
it was kinda surprising to me that there were people putting coins inside our donation tins when we were at the hawker centre, eating. at the escalator in the mrt station and even in the mrt itself! alhamdulillah, i met many generous people.
my family's all gone to kl. except for me and abg shahiddin. well, as consolation, my brother's bringing me out this coming sunday.
i don't know why but i suddenly started watching bollywood movies again! weird.

APEX CAMP 2009 WAS A BLAST! kk intro: it's a camp to motivate madrasah students for their upcoming PSLE examinations, theme was EXPLORER. i loved the games! thought it was creatively planned to incorporate simple facts or formulas which the students learnt.

everyone was asking whether my co facilitator, nadhirah, was my younger sister! okla, we do look a bit alike eh.
my group, beirut, was awesome! enthusiastic and they worked as a team whenever they had to. they totally had fun and so did i(like to the max) as their facilitator. i really learnt a lot of stuff like the capital of argentina, faraday's invention, newton's scale etc etc. and of course, how to interact with kids better :D i was newcomer also so thanks to the other mentors who were so friendly and helpful! esp shireen, my co faci for first two days.
on the flip side, i'm way behind schedule in studies. and i ate a lot during the camp, must go run a marathon now. haha
&& i saw a real brain today!

my elder sister was playing say it again by marie digby on the guitar.
my younger sister playing love story by taylor swift on the piano.
and me with the song i just learnt, do re mi! eh quite difficult kay to play on the piano. it was funny la! && my mum made special appearance by dancing, in her glittery baju kurung.
currently my dad is my pillar of strength. for the past yr, he has been giving me really great advice whenever i feel down, making me feel a lot better. and i love love his dark sense of humour! cracks me up most of the time :) aiyah, i love my dad la full stop. heh

Doc Childre and Howard Martin, HeartMath Solution
Physiologically, it simply doesn't matter whether your anger is justified or not. The body doesn't make moral judgements about feelings; it just responds.
but i think i still need to learn to control my temper. especially when it comes to dealing with my younger sister. *breathe in**breathe out*
HW Longfellow
If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm any hostility.
i watched two chick flick movies today! pretty entertaining ah. too bad i can't do it so often now though :(

i was asking my dad whether it's true that women in malaysia have to go through NS. and he said, "ye betul. tapi tujuan perkhidmatan negara di sana berbeza daripada di Singapura. di singapura tujuannya agak sama seperti tugas angkatan bersenjata manakala di malaysia tujuannya lebih kepada perpaduan rakyat...." i wish i can be as fasih as him in malay.
anw, today was my grandfather's birthday!happy 88th birthday yai! dinner was great, alhamdulillah.
