went jogging in the morning with cousins :) quite fun, me and my elder sister found a new jogging route for ourselves! started from toa payoh lor 8 to st andrew's junior college. it's nearer than i expected it to be but it was still tiring. duhh la, considering how bad my stamina is.
and while we were jogging, there was this event i think. a lot of elderly walking together. some of them did talk to us, then some smiled. i find it heartening to see them so active and so happy talking to their fellow friends :)
i think kungfu panda is just too cute la! watch it 2 times alr i think but still nvr get bored.

i thought this was a rather sweet video. i like watching talent shows' auditions cause it's like normal people leading normal lives being there on stage. and sometimes, it's wonderful to see their reactions to the judges comments. the different personalities and all.
watched 2012 today. i think it stirred a lot of thoughts in me.
1) even the rich, with all the money in the world, can't escape the thing they fear the most - death. that russian billionaire, who owned multiple bentleys, ferraris and what not, still died in the end even though he had paid 1 BILLION EUROS to save his own life. quite a pity don't you think?
2) in the show, the poor can't afford the billion-dollar ticket to the spaceship that would protect them from all the catastrophes happening in the world. thus, they're denied the chance to live. isn't that what's happening now? the poor is denied the chance to live because they don't have enough money for food, water, shelter etc. or rather, they are deemed as being too insignificant as compared to all the atas people in the world.
3) a mother's love for her child is truly unconditional! this was highlighted when the mother begged the man to take her children on board the spaceship while she would not mind being left behind to die. plus all the other scenes showing the mother fighting for her children's lives. i felt really touched by this because somehow, i knew my mum would have done the same for us :')
4) a bit of propaganda was included in the movie ah, rather obvious. seeing how it showed the president of USA staying behind to die alongside his people. and the chinese being super advanced in technology, even further ahead than USA which i don't think is true today. well, maybe in the future yes.
5) last but not least, even when someone seems to be talking crap, JUST LISTEN. might turn out to be the truth after all. haha, just like charlie.
i can't say if i enjoyed the movie or not. i kinda liked the storyline and special effects but somehow i felt rather uncomfortable after the movie. dunno y also.
i'll probably blog everyday now, till i find sth better to do :)
first and foremost, A LEVELS ARE FINALLY OVER! it's like the after-olevel feeling but so much better :) aaaaahhhhhhh, liberation! had a blast with ziqian, ting yun, gc, elaine and marcus! went to plaza sing and ion central to walk walk at night, eat swensens, camwhore, experiment with dry ice, eat ben and jerrys and camwhore again! i think everyone was rather high after THE last paper. that outing was just awesome, laughed so much :D and to top it all off, i saw aries ppl(mj, jen, and ww!) awwww, miss you guys :)
oh oh, i saw the pictures for my cousin's wedding and i think it's cool! so sad i couldn't be there since it was a day before my chem paper :(

i think i should start embracing my javanese roots. shall learn a bit of the language after my a's. and the other day my maid cooked botok, which is a java food. unfortunately, only me and my mum seemed to like it. but it's really delicious! eaten with rice, has a fish taste :)
and i've started to read a new malay book. oh man, it's been such a long time! i kinda miss learning the language.

7 papers down! ahhh, feel so relieved. i wanna tell the whole world about how dramatic and unintellectual my elder sister's acting. but i think i shall not, who knows what she'll do to me. hahaha
my friend told me that dick lee was from SJI and ken lim was from ACSI. hmmm, interesting. haha 2 papers down, a million more to go. maths was horrible to the power of infinity. but nvm, worst come to worst.... don't know ah, nothing could be so bad. i read an article which stated that singaporeans should not be fixated on a single route to success and instead find different routes.
on thursday, i realised that i have a chem paper this week! had a serious freak moment then. i was wondering how i could NOT have realised. like a levels study for two yrs then never realise got chem paper -_______- maybe next i won't realise my sister's getting married the next day or sth.
and my cough's not really getting better :( oh, my dad gave me a pep talk the other day. i think he just wants to tell me that a levels is not everything and that he'll always be there supporting me even if i fail in it somehow. awwwww.
i learnt ytd that michael learns to rock was actually named after michael jackson! and that cucu (grandchild in malay) was actually spelt as chuchu last time. saw it in my grandfather's record book. he recorded the names of all his siblings and their children since there were so many of them. e.g. one of my grandaunts had 15 children!
i've had to sacrifice my sleep to slot in time for chem. aftertaste for coffee is so yuck. have yet another day of drinking it. after that, i'll probably never drink those can ones again.

there was no birthday cake this year. but nevertheless, still an awesome birthday :) i was feeling super bored studying for a levels on my birthday but all the messages i received kept me entertained. thank you so much (friends and relatives) for all the sweet birthday messages. i love you all many many! and of course to shamini who specially came all the way to my house and saw me in my pyjamas! darn, but yeah so sweet of you! and to my family, whom i had a lovely dinner with, y'all still owe me presents ah. i'll pass y'all my wish list soon. :P watched the jay chou movie secret for a while just now since my younger sister was watching it. i think it's super romantic to fall in love through music.
