7 yr old prodigy dubbed next Picasso

yup, his name is kieron williamson. sold 16 paintings for $14 000! i can't even sell one painting of mine for $5 la. haha.

here are some of his paintings. they look really beautiful to me. unlike a lot of other art pieces which i simply don't understand but are declared master pieces.

apex session was funny! haha but yup, need to maintain my laughter a bit.

i miss so many of my friends right now :(

and today, i scolded a p1 kid until he nearly cried. haiz, he made me angry.

i'm pretty tired. been having 5 plus hours of sleep the last four days. have to leave the house by 6.20 am and only reached home at 9.15 pm.

the beautiful thing about children is that they do not bear grudges at all. you can be scolding them for one minute and ten minutes later they will still participate enthusiastically in your class. and laugh at your jokes :)

i love the way they sing so patriotically during morning assemblies to the point that their voices drown the sound of the national anthem playing through the sound system.

BUT..

i think i'm gonna lose my voice soon. sometimes they make me SO ANNOYED.

okay, so currently my job's mainly teaching the lower primary civics and moral education(noble job eh, moulding future leaders of Singapore. HAHA) and helping my HOD organise his research database. my HOD, Dr Tay, is funny! but every other person finds him scary, i don't know why.

BODY WORLD! it was pretty boring ah for me. heh. but not for my elder sister who was enthusiastically explaining stuff to us. typical med student.

sorry to my younger sister who gave me 9 missed calls ytd.

hateexams and happywifmylife.

what was i thinking?! haha, i've made a more professional e-mail but i'm keeping this blog. too much(or is it many?) memories ah.

work's been okay, not taxing yet for me. and tuition's been awesome too. cause the kids do not give me any discipline problems alhamdulillah. including my apex mentees :) they're pretty eager to learn too so that's good.

my fellow blue team mentors!

body world tmr! k i'm not into knowing what's in the body and all but my elder sister's pestering us all to go. spent the whole afternoon with my mum today. first to religious class and then to OG. funny ah when she talks about dad.

work starts tmr. eek. now i'll have to wake up at 5+ am on weekdays. ok, no pain no gain. and i might be relief teaching malay. that'll be quite cool la since my ambition in sec sch was to become a malay teacher.

i can't stand people who do PDA(public display of affection)! pls la, i know you're so in love and all but spare my eyes, thank you. and also those who blast their music so loudly that the people around them can hear it. i don't know the purpose of doing that but i can't enjoy my book that way. kalau lagu anuar zain takpe jugak.

k, as my younger sister said, the world isn't mine. so i'll just have to put up with these for my future 35 min long mrt rides to choa chu kang :(

i finished revamping my mp3! siti nurhaliza FTW! haha, her voice is so powerful and nice to listen to. i inserted a lot of her songs :)

does first and last still exist nowadays?

the ting tongs haven't meet up ever since school ended so i'm glad we did yesterday :) everyone's doing fine now so good good.

i watched mohabbetein ytd. haha, finally! no offence to those who liked it ah but i thought it was kinda boring and unrealistic. the second part actually applies to almost all love movies/dramas i've watched.

swimming today with gee cee. havent swam in a long time. water felt cold but fun ah. we swam 20 laps then went off. oh and i'm still in the midst of revamping my mp3. managed to find new good songs thanks to people's recommendations. any other songs to recommend?

Secrets
by Anthony

Rain drops hold the secrets,
Then splatter to the ground.
The Secrets soak inside,
Where they're not disturbed or found.

The ground is a safe haven,
For these abandoned mysteries.
And still the world fails to notice,
Like waking past the blowing trees.

But the rain hold some salvation,
Holds the proverbial aid.
And It masks all our secrets,
All the mistakes we have made.

met up with sing yee yesterday! :)

Saturday

so i think everyone now knows what happened to my btt driving test. and my elder sister is obviously NOT HELPING!(look at tagboard to find out why)

after that was start of tuition - my first ever session! and my tutee thought i was fierce! she told me that when i asked her why she kept making mistakes when doing working. haha, i look fierce?! that's a first for me.

and highlight of the day: makcik outing! at Vintage Delicafe at arab street. srsly, the food there is BOOMSZ! hahaha. it's really awesome and for me, pretty value for money. good service too which is definitely a +++ for me.

i brought a map along so that we dun get lost searching for the cafe!

dinah's hair tastes goooooddddd! HAHAHAHAHA

Dinah was the mastermind behind this facial expression. and rasy being her good friend, went all out to support her.

i think it took me ard 5 mins to get into this boots! cause there's a certain technique to do so. && i terribly didn't want to spoil them since they weren't mine. very difficult to walk in them ah! but anw, thanks safa :)

hazi forever looks glam ah. unfair.

safa ever ready for the camera i tell you :P

been having my sister's oh-so-delicious brownies plus ice cream for breakfast the past two days! so much for healthy eating.

and i'm really really glad that my dad bought for me a new thumbdrive. k la, might not mean much to you guys but my dad is the super spendthrift type so when he buys sth for me, i rly appreciate it. THANK YOU DAD! and for the organiser also <3

met wani, ain and sister just now to complete some admin stuff for GPac. oh man, i only have around 6 more days to enjoy myself before work starts :(

went to NUS and Ngee Ann poly open house. haha, the atmosphere in both schools are so so different.

in NUS, went to eat at the grilled chicken stall which according to my sister, sold the best food in the whole campus. oh man, the food was uber delicious!!! unfortunately, it's at the engineering faculty which i'll never go since i don't take physics. heh

in ngee ann poly, visited my friend and went to look around the sch. haha, who knows, just keeping my options open. very interesting eh. cause my friend's from the film and media school so i got the chance to see the recording studio, radio station, filming studio with the uber huge stage lights and camera stuffs. wished i had brought a camera along ah. very cool! and you don't ever have to worry about being over/under dressed :)

and thank you xinru for the cute cute pop-up card! i feel so touched :)

so today was spent just slacking at home. don't know why but i slept a lot as well :(

i like to eat mixed jelly! you know those sold in cone-shaped plastic packages? i'll chill it first then pick a few colours, mash it up and put them in a bowl. wah, SUPER NICE.

and i'm probably starting work the week after next. so i only have 1 week of holiday left! (well actually, i had enough alr la heh) i should try to squeeze in as many driving lessons into next week then and more meet ups with friends before i get tied down with everything.

thanks mum for making my problem appear to not be so much of a problem after all. love you :)

just came back from watching avatar! i did enjoy it pretty much but i felt it was a bit too long. heh. but yeah, i realised that it's subtlely slapping us in the face because destroying the environment - that is what we're doing. and it's not like we're gonna stop any time soon. unfortunately, i play a part in that too.

catching up with friends have been really awesome. aries at cedar homecoming and ecp, cedar classmates, nj peeps. it's nice to know that we're still close :)

i'm currently unemployed, hoping to find a job soon. but alhamdulillah, i have two tuition now. i haven't given tuition before so i'm kinda scared. other than that, i have to study for my basic driving test (ytd, i realised i studied the wrong book for the past two weeks! freaked out sey but everyone says it's easy so insyaallah, i'll pass. k i have 5 days now to study the new book). i'm always messing things up for tests. like how i messed up the time and subject for a levels. eeks! my fellow juniors, make sure this does not happen to you! haha

and oh yes, kl trip was fun! (pics on fb) family is always best-est :) <3

last post on vietnam! :D

filled with random pictures taken in vietnam:

convoy on the road trip.

at the pizza shop. instead of small, medium, large, they have mini, small and large! haha

christmas decorations. christmas is like a big thing there. like almost all the shops will have their own christmas decorations.

view from the 22nd floor of sheraton hotel, at the bar. some high-end hotel ah so we looked quite weird with slippers and totally informal wear.haha. me and my brother just took pictures and headed down to highlands coffee instead since we couldn't drink.

uber nice mango smoothie at highlands coffee. vietnamese people LOVE their coffee.

at the night market. we got tired ah. haha, my bro was acting like the shop owner.

this is how electrical stuff are sold there. you just choose the product you want, from the posters and then they take out the packed one from these huge containers and voala! you get it(after you pay for it of course). i was quite fascinated by this because it's like they don't really have much choice eh.

strawberry milk in VN! haha, my bro was searching for it since day one and only found it on the 2nd last day. imagine our excitement so much so that we took a picture! heh. and in vietnam theres this lothammilk. which is really sweet milk! super delicious. i normally can't drink milk just like that but that one i could.

ben thanh market - so many things and people! it's like the wet market in singapore but much bigger. and must really know how to bargain there. we bargained so much everytime up to a point where we couldn't be bothered.

propaganda posters

row of sellers on the pathway.

oh ya, i saw a dead rat on the road and i nearly stepped on it! the trishaw riders all work for $2 per hr eh! oh man, it's quite hard for them to make a living. and that's if they even get customers. imagine having to cycle a heavy person for one hour and only get $2 in return? haha, i won't even accept a job that paid less than $5/hr.

it flooded on our way to the airport! the drainage system is pretty bad. there were no holes for the water to flow into on the roads. and no nearby longkangs as well.

oh and we saw this group of kids playing pokemon cards in front of the whale temple. haha, so cute!

and one funny thing that happened was that we drove 5 hrs away from the city and my brother realised that his pocket had sth. when he checked, it was the hotel room key to the hotel we stayed at the city! haha, i kinda panicked but luckily they had extra key so we didn't have to pay for those nights or sth.

saigon opera house. sth like our esplanade where they have concerts and stuff. but one opera show costs about 20 bucks yup.

airplane + airplane ticket :)

so yup, that's all :)

http://rasyiqarter.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html - rasyiqah commenting that anuar zain is hot! hahaha

i kinda liked the apex session today. alhamdulillah, i managed to learn quite a lot of stuff :)
