had a fun time at swensens with my colleagues :) laughed quite a lot actually. good way to de-stress from all the work in school.

today was the last day for chee hian and aisyah. i'm gonna miss their awesome company so much la.
i'm losing my voice. i really hope I don't because i will be at such a disadvantage when in a class of hyperactive kids. need more nin jiom candies!

plus i'm deprived of sleep. ok gdnight!

so yesterday was a mini catch-up session with a few of my Sec 4 classmates. felt really gooooodddd la cause i haven't seen them for so long yet they haven't change much. except for veron's hairstyle. hahaha. but i ate so much compared to them. 3 slices of large pizza and 2 and a half drumlets. plus rice and all before that. wah, all that for lunch. tsk.

i feel happy for my tutees, alhamdulillah, for the improvement in their results. it's an achievement for them. they are all hardworking so i pray that they will attain the grades that they aimed for :)

every morning at work, i have two 'adopted' kids to read to and teach simple words. They used to be the two naughtiest kids i taught. but somehow i learnt from another teacher that you really have to show them a lot of care and concern. That was exactly what i did and now, i find them really cute. They are starting to make my mornings enjoyable so it's a good start to the day. i really hope this continues on :)

it's been really draining these days. been having lack of sleep. and i think it's because of that, I somewhat had blur vision yesterday, momentarily.

i still haven't completed my essays, and time's not on my side. been thinking a lot about the course i'm going to do in uni. very confusing ah with different people telling me different things. but it's okay now. I've made my decision and I shall stick to it (no matter what others say) to keep myself from going crazy.

went to the album launch of madrasah aljunied's angklung ensemble. awesome job guys! :)) and i enjoyed listening to the nasyid group as well.

my sisters have been exceptionally nice to me lately. my younger sister made for me breakfast on tuesday and my elder sister dedicated a love song to me yesterday. (the song's sajna re, very nice! go listen on you tube!) hmmmm. sth's fishy. hahaha

went to UNCLE TONY'S yesterday at hougang green. sorry guys for coming super late and making you guys wait so long! UNCLE TONY'S a western restaurant and i have to say that the food's really really delicious. price not so cheap ah but pretty reasonable..

work's been okay so far. got a new pile of work to be done for the next few days :( my essays are not done and i've only got a week left! but still, I want this week to faster end. haha

pinnacle@duxton rocks! although we only got to spend half an hour there and no food allowed :( the scenery was awesome. star gazing was the best part, i really love looking at stars. worth the $5 :)

shopping spree at geylang yesterday was ahhhhhh, so relaxing! hahaha and shiok la of course. partly because i haven't done that in ages and mostly because it was all sponsored! by mummy! she was in a super gd mood i think, making jokes and all. maybe cause the next day was her 28th wedding anniversary. haha

went to teh tarik eating house for lunch. and yes, i have to snnounce this. the ice blended horlick shake is to die for! i even took a picture of it with my handphone after my first sip cause it was srsly good.


went to nus today. had such a huge headache. but managed to sort out my thoughts and make a choice on the courses i wanna pursue. all i have to do now is pray that whatever i get is what's best for me. insyaallah.

hrithik roshan's such an awesome dancer! can't help but say this after watching his performance on youtube.

my mum told me to try overseas universities that do offer law, since there's slim chance of me getting into NUS law. but i've decided that i'm not gonna do so. I can't ah. being all alone in a foreign country, i'm not that independent yet. and not being able to see my family everyday, wah nothing's worse than that.

went to IT fair today with safarina. haha, we were holding hands so that we wouldn't get lost. met zul and gang(colleagues from beacon pri) which was pretty surprising. but the most coincidental part was meeting my pri 6 table partner.(whom i've not met for 6 yrs!) it was really coincidental to me ah cause of all the people i could have taken the catalogue from, i took the laptop one from him. hahaha, what a small world. but as my bro said, one fifth of singaporeans are expected to be there, so you're bound to meet someone you know anyway.

now i think i'm getting too busy for my own good. haiz.

I use this picture as my laptop's desktop background picture and it never fails to generate much reaction from my lower primary students. haha. but of course la i did it on purpose because it srsly helps me get their attention.

anw, i found out something interesting about my favourite colour purple.

During the Elizabethan era, 1558-1603, people who could wear the colour purple were dictated by the English law! Only the most expensive dyes were used to produce the color purple hence, it became symbolic with wealth and power. (Purple dye was worth more than its weight in gold eh, can you imagine?!)

People who were allowed to wear the color purple during the Elizabethan era, as decreed by the English Sumptuary Laws, were the Queen, Queen's mother, children, and sisters, and aunts. The King, King's mother, children, brethren, and uncles.

so the next time i wear purple and i act like i'm from some royal family, you know why. hahaha

syukur syukur syukur alhamdulillah. even though it wasn't the perfect score, it was what i targeted for so i'm really happy that i got those results.

to all who have doakan for me, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. i feel like i have so many people to thank but i think i'll do it personally :)

now all I have to do is make up my mind. which isn't exactly an easy thing to do :(

i think i shall blog tmr since i'll have more to say after i get my a level results..
